2. What is your anticipated time frame from start to finish?
3. What one item is most important to each family member in building a new home? You may be interested in a big kitchen, while others would like a three-car garage, or a game room.

Have a game plan - Do you have a particular style of home in mind? Charleston, Cape Cod, traditional, or farmhouse? Brick, stone, stucco, lap siding, or a combination? Tile, composition, or metal roof? Having a plan will ensure that you get exactly what you want and can save you time and money.

Location - Do you want a beautiful custom home on Lake Murray? Maybe you want to build your home in Lexington or Richland County away from the lake and close to school or work.
Land - Do you have a lot of your own, or do you plan on purchasing a lot or acreage?
